Hands Up For A Cure – Discovery, Hope & Accomplishment
JDRF is the leading charitable funding organization and advocate of type 1 (juvenile) diabetes research worldwide. The mission of JDRF is to fine a cure for diabetes and its complications through the support of research.
Why Is Discovery So Important?
We knew that we were on to something when we landed on the “Why Is Discovery So Important?” concept. The core of the campaign was a series of personal interviews, framing different levels of challenges, hope and accomplishment through the eyes of research; those interviews played out in a single story integrating interviews, b-roll, historical images and music.

The campaign was designed for a premiere event and a social media extension. We created a strategy of advanced engagement with targeted publicity influencers and sent them a sneak peek at the video along with a press release. The campaign premiered at the JDRF Gala. We deployed the video the following day to multiple sites and created metrics to track their experience.
Results
The gala video increased their annual fundraising goal by 28% and secondly increased awareness of JDRF virally on YouTube.
