Reaching Primary Care Physicians?
We worked with ReachMD to create a medical professional for the busy primary care physician treating the majority of type 2 diabetic patients. The core of the program is a series of 15-minute weekly discussion between healthcare professionals addressing the latest hot topics in the field of diabetes. We recognized that we needed a thought-leader to engage both the professional guests and listeners.
Add Value
The series was designed for a multi-channel release on satellite, Internet, iPhone and podcast. We created a strategy for their sponsors to engage thought-leaders both nationally and internationally and provided added-value on the series by including linkage to various diabetes-related websites. The series premiered in the summer of 2009.
Results
The series was an immediate success. Listeners increased significantly in key professional specialties including primary care physicians, registered nurses and certified diabetes educators. The series continues to increase both listeners, downloads and program page views and unique page views.
